The New Brunswick Branch of the Canadian Nuclear Society is pleased to offer an informal mixer (food and refreshments included) and lecture in uptown Saint John.

Gerry Frappier started his career in Health Physics with Ontario Hydro working at the Pickering and Bruce Nuclear Generating Stations. He subsequently worked on aerospace, military projects and Nuclear Security and non proliferation.

In 2006 Gerry joined the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission as Director General Security and Safeguards, where he was responsible for nuclear security, non-proliferation, international safeguards and emergency management. He also spent several years as the Director General Assessment and Analysis responsible to provide the Commission with regulatory leadership and specialist advice in engineering, nuclear physics and safety assessments.

In 2016 Gerry became the Director General Power Reactor Regulation where he is responsible for the regulatory oversight of Nuclear Power Plants, including all licensing and compliance activities.  Gerry is a physicist and a professional electrical engineer.
