Abstract

SOURCE IST 2.0 is the Industry Standard Toolset (IST) code for simulating fission product release from CANDU fuel under accident conditions. The current version of SOURCE IST 2.0 incorporates two new models, a re-solution model, which is important under normal operating condition, and a model for fission product diffusion at high fuel temperatures. These new models are presented together with the code benchmark against relevant experimental datasets.
