Abstract

The conceptual design of the experimental facility for the circulation of LBE (Lead-Bismuth Eutectic) coolant in the SMFBR (Small Modular Fast Breeder Reactor) is carried out for its circulation test with the mass flow rate of 21.37 kg/s and developed pressure of 8,456 Pa subject to the natural circulation. The EM (Electro Magnetic) pump is attached to the upper part of the facility, performance of the EM pump is predicted from the numerical analysis of the developed pressure subject to the MHD (magnetohydrodynamic) conditions such as magnetic field and current distribution by using ANSYS Maxwell.
