The Ottawa Branch of the Canadian Nuclear Society has been active ever since the founding of the Canadian Nuclear Society itself. Members of the Ottawa Branch represent a wide spectrum of professionals in the fields of Nuclear Science and Engineering, and include university students, professors, employees and retirees from AECL Chalk River, CNSC (former AECB), NRCan (former EMR), private industry (including MDS Nordion, GE and Hitachi) and other government departments (including Health Canada, Environment Canada, Fisheries & Oceans, and the Geological Survey of Canada).
The Ottawa Branch also has members in Arnprior, Chalk River and Kingston (mainly students and professors at Queens University and the Royal Military College of Canada).
The Canadian Nuclear Society and its Ottawa Branch welcomes anyone interested in Nuclear Science and Engineering to join and participate in its activities.
