Nuclear is clean energy. Nuclear has always been clean energy.

Earlier this month, the Government of Canada announced a major new clean energy tax credit that crucially includes small modular reactors (SMRs). This inclusion of nuclear in this tax credit sends a clear signal that the government considers nuclear power to be “clean energy” on par with all other low-carbon technologies, including renewables.
