This week the message from the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was clear – to avoid the worst effects of climate change we need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions now. We know that nuclear energy can offset fossil fuels but we need to immediately start planning the construction of new nuclear-generating stations.
